The button is really easy to work. You turn it on and pair it with your phone. When you need to use it, turn it on, hold it close to the phone, and the connection is made. It then acts as if I am pressing the button on my phone. For less than $8, this is a great deal. I picked a black one so it would be easier to hide in pictures, they are available in several different colors.
The 'tri-pod' I purchased actually looks like a spider. It has eight legs. It is called a Spider Stand. I used 4 of the legs to stand it up, and 4 legs to hold the phone. It works for any phone or camera. It is pretty darn handy, and I like that it is not device specific. And for less than $3, it is a great deal. They come in a couple different colors - I picked purple.
The stand flattened out. It is really easy to tuck into my purse or bag.
Ready to go. I used 4 legs to stand on, and 4 legs to hold the camera phone.
Easily holds the phone in an upright position. The legs can wiggle around to get more grip if needed.
Easily holds in a landscape position too. This is slick and easy to use!
